Victim/Witness Assistance Program (VWAP) provides information, assistance and support to victims and witnesses of crime, including children. The VWAP aims to increase victims’ understanding of, and participation in, the criminal court process.

Since 1980, DFCC has offered a wide range of programs and services for young people and families in Durham Region.
These include specialized assessment, counseling and mental health supports for youth in conflict with the law and their families; intensive one-to-one outreach support for youth who are high risk (12-21); supportive educational programming for students (12-18) through our two on-site classrooms; free violence prevention workshops for grades 8-12; and specialized assessment/counseling services for youth (12-18) and families.
Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services is a multi-service Indigenous Child Well-Being Agency. We provide a stable foundation for children, youth, and families, through wraparound services that are culturally based and family-focused.

Lakeridge Health’s Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Care Centre (DVSACC) is made up of a team of Forensic Nurse Examiners who provide compassionate, confidential care and treatment 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
The Women’s Multicultural Resource and Counseling Centre of Durham Region is a Registered Charitable Organization, dedicated to provide specialized counseling and support to women of all ages and their families, from diverse backgrounds, to eradicate violence, to rebuild their lives, and to enable them to become contributing and valued members of society.
Durham Community Health Centre is a registered charitable organization providing a variety of free, community programs and services including: health promotion and wellness programs; primary care, counselling and mental health; diabetes education; Hepatitis C screening, treatment support, education and outreach; geriatric assessment & intervention; young parent support, youth programs, Indigenous programs; community development programs.
Durham District School Board (DDSB) is responsible for public education in the rural communities of Uxbridge, Brock and Scugog townships and the cities and towns of Ajax, Whitby, Pickering and Oshawa. We employ over 10,000 teaching and educational services staff in 136 elementary and secondary schools and learning centers. DDSB has more than 76,000 regular day students and thousands more who take continuing education and adult credit courses.
The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB, known as English-language Separate District School Board No. 45 prior to 1999) is a Catholic school board located in Durham Region, east of Toronto, Ontario. It currently runs 39 elementary schools and 7 secondary schools.
